Ladies Auxiliary – September 2010 Newsletter

Summer is coming to an end… not my favorite time of year but I must say we gave it our all this summer with the 4th of July a success. Ladies Auxiliary Open House was very enjoyable. Thank you again Kathy Chorpening for all the fun games you have provided. The Scavenger Hunt was a great time with great ladies. Thank you Carol Hoover & Theresa Franklin for coming up with some great items to find you had some of us stumped. Family Karaoke was a hit as well Thank you Tom Day for providing music.  There really are some talented kids & adults among us.  Thank you Grace Albertson, Linda Transou, Monica Pallaci, Patti Reece, & Anne Marie Orcutt for all your help in setting up and selling the pizza, candy & soda we managed to sell every slice of pizza job well done Ladies!

Thank you all for helping to support the Ladies Auxiliary this summer I only hope we see more new faces join us for our regular meetings starting September 7th upstairs @ 6:00pm with a delicious dinner prepared by Above and Beyond Catering The Ladies Auxiliary will meet every first Tuesday of the month; new Ladies Auxiliary members that have “joined” the Ladies Auxiliary will get their first meal free.  We cannot make this a success with out all your ideas, PLEASE try & make it to a meeting and help us become a Big Success this year.

August 7th was our Camp Carefree Charity Fund Raiser at the pool Thank you Carol Hoover for chairing this fabulous event, the kids had a lot of fun.  The bikers were very pleased with the Flag welcoming they were greeted with as they drove onto the High Point Elks Lodge #1155 premises and a round of applause to our wonderful cooks Greg Conner & Russ Pallaci for the chicken dinner all was for a great cause. This is what it means when we say “Elks Care Elks Share

August brought us yet another successful, Island Night the chair committee person Monica Pallaci. Thank you for all you did to help this become yet another classy night for all to enjoy. I am extremely grateful for all who participated in helping out with one of our “Largest Fundraisers”

August was our first Spaghetti & Magician Family Event Thank you Linda Transou for helping in making the tickets for this event and everyone who helped in making and preparing the food: Monica Pallaci, Beth Pritchett, Anne Marie Orcutt, Carol Newman, Beth Hawks, Ashley Martin, Grace Albertson & Kathy Pascavage.
