Ladies Auxiliary – April 2010 Newsletter

Spring has finally arrived…

April marks the end of my duties as President of the Ladies Auxiliary, and a new beginning for the new President, Angie Conner.  She will do this organization proud!

Wow! What a year…
We celebrated a 100th Anniversary, sent gifts to 175 soldiers serving our country, supported our Veterans with gifts and fellowship, donated a truck full of canned food to a local food  bank in our community, painted faces, played games, sold concessions and then ate tons of chili and salsa, danced our feet off at Island Night, made more Jell-O shots than we could count, endured a few snow storms, (one that caused Santa to not be able to make a visit,  and one that delayed our elections of new officers to a new night.)

We welcomed many new members and ones that decided to join us again.  We comforted our members who suffered from any loss, feed those who needed our support, and donated our time and energy when asked. This is truly an amazing group of women!

I would not have been able to have had such a successful year if not for the great support I had from the members of the board

My special THANKS to…
Theresa – for stepping up to the plate and taking the VP seat
Katherine – for being the a tremendous treasurer
Terri – for taking all those minutes and keeping them straight
Monica – for trying to make everyone happy with the menu, and email after email.
Angie – for keeping track of all our activities.
Beth – for all the words to live by.
Vanessa – for keeping order when needed…

Let’s all support Angie and her new board!
Thank you all…

Sincerely,

Linda Camp
