Exalted Ruler Letter for June 2013

I know you will join me in welcoming pool season!

I want to thank Tom Day and the pool committee for their many hours of hard work getting everything ready so we all can enjoy! Please thank them when you see them for all their hard work!

Last month there were a number of special activities for our Lodge. Several of us went to Greenville, NC for the spring State Convention. We were presented with special commendation for our work with the Veterans. We also won first place in the very first Youth Activities Brochure Contest. I would like to thank Carol Hoover for helping to assemble this for us. We also sponsored the High Point Pony League Family Day which was a big success. Thank you to everyone that was able and volunteered to help out! We celebrated our annual Mother’s Day Brunch with a great meal, great weather, and it was a privilege to honor our Mothers! I would like to thank Drew Albertson and Eric Orcutt for opening the doors and giving each Mother a rose! Our Lodge also annually cooks burgers and hot dogs for all our Veterans in Salisbury and we served over 500 people at this outing and I would like to thank everyone that volunteered to help out. The Antlers had another successful season at the Miracle League and I would like to thank them and their advisor, Gary Hutchins, for their participation. We also enjoyed band night with Mezza Voce as well!

There are a number of activities that are scheduled in June. There will be a pancake breakfast benefiting Camp Carefree, swim team car wash fundraiser, swim meets, Father’s Day Fish Fry, band night with “Big Bump and the Stun Gunz,” and many more. Please take a look at the website for the many other events scheduled in June!

See you at the pool!

Fraternally yours,
Andy Albertson
