Exalted Ruler Letter for December 2013

Posted on Posted in Exalted Ruler

There were some very meaningful and fun events that we enjoyed in November! I would like to thank Bob Jones for organizing everything for the fundraiser benefiting David Turner and his family. I would also like to thank all those that participated as I know many people contributed to assist our Brother.

A great time was had by all at the 11th Annual Chili Cook Off! Interesting turn of events at the McDonald farm! Thanks to all the teams who cooked and especially those that came to taste!

December will be a very busy month as well. December 1st at 1pm is our Memorial Service that will include lunch. We will be remembering our Elks that have passed away during the past year.

December 7th is Breakfast with Santa and always a great time for our children! Santa will be glad to see you at this event! Thanks to the Ladies Auxiliary for getting Santa to come and visit!

December 14th is the Member/Guest Christmas Party and the Member’s Only Christmas Party is on December 18th. Please RSVP to the Lodge office for the Member’s Party by December 13th as we will be providing steaks (the sides as well) and need to know how many to cook.

New Year’s Eve Mezza Voce will be playing for the Ladies Auxiliary party. I am sure this will be a great time!

You should have received the raffle tickets for the Annual PER TV Raffle. This is a great fundraiser for our Lodge and went a long way to financially turning things around last year. Although our financial outlook is extremely better than in years past, there are a number of repairs and updates that the Lodge desperately needs due to the unavailability of funds in previous years. The Lodge needs your help with the sales of these tickets. Please help out by selling all the tickets you receive.

Please remember that all our events are posted on the website, so please visit it frequently so you can stay up to date on the events at our Lodge. I wish you all a very Happy Holiday Season!

See you at the Lodge!

Fraternally yours,
Andy Albertson
