It’s May and you know what that means? Pool Season is upon us!
We are so excited about our upcoming summer at the High Point Elks Lodge. Tom Day and the Pool Committee have been working daily to make sure that our beautiful pool is ready to go on May 26th for opening day. Please bring your friends as guests (for free!) Friday, Saturday and Sunday on Memorial Day weekend as we show off our crown jewel. This is also the best way for us to recruit new Members to join the High Point Elks Lodge. There’s no better way to introduce the Lodge to your friends. Also, on opening day, the Pool Committee is hosting our annual FREE Hot Dog Cookout for everyone under the shelter. Please get those pool dues in early to help our Lodge Secretary Shari Driscoll and Office Administrator Kelly Austin. The earlier the better!
On Saturday, May 6th, we will hold our 4th Annual Andy Albertson Memorial Golf Tournament at Holly Ridge Golf Links. This charitable golf tournament is held each year to raise money for various local charities and to honor Andy Albertson who passed away during his term as Exalted Ruler. All proceeds this year will go to Hospice of the Triad. We are still looking for golfers for this fun event. Please continue to check our website, Facebook and Twitter to stay informed on all the fun activities the House Committee has planned throughout the month. Family Burger Nights will continue every Thursday through May 25th. They will pick back up after Labor Day. Please thank your House Committee folks as they plan and cook for our Members every Thursday throughout the non-pool season of the year.
