Exalted Ruler Letter for October 2018

Happy Fall everyone! September is officially in the book and what a Great and very busy month it was. Thanks to everyone who helped make our first Tailgate opener a success and I hope everyone’s favorite team was victorious.

We also got our Antlers program up and running, elected officers and they are already planning some great events. The Elks Antler program is open to all kids from Jr. Antlers 11 and 12 years old to our Antlers from 13 years old to 18.  Please call the Lodge for information.

This month was also the first meeting of our new Veterans committee on 9/20 and will continue to meet the 3rd Thursday of every month. We will be working on ways to help our local veterans and especially homeless veterans. We could still use several more members so come to our next meeting on Thursday, October 18th at 6:30 in the Lounge.

Thank’s to Tim and Lindy Height and all of our volunteers for helping our Car Show on the 22nd to be a success again this year to benefit Disabled Veterans. We had a great time and saw some beautiful cars even though some lady named Florence caused us to reschedule. BAD GIRL!!  The 22nd was a busy day with the Car Show, New Members Social and the Pig Roast. We had a family of 5 win a free pool membership given at the Social so congrats to them!

Friday night’s continue to be a BIG success for the Lodge with lots of members joining in the fun so come out, you might be surprised.

Congratulations to Russell “Daz” Pallaci for being named our September Elk of the Month.

To conclude, I want to thank all of our volunteers in September who worked so hard to make this month a success!!

I look forward to seeing you at the Lodge!

Fraternally yours,
Tommy Frazier
