Exalted Ruler Letter for April 2022

Beginning this month, our new officers start their tenure to manage and oversee our Lodge. Please support our new ER, Richard Golden, and his officers and committees to keep up the positive momentum our Lodge has achieved this year. As I close out my term, I would like to highlight a few of the great accomplishments of the past Elk year, 2021 -2022:
– We grew our membership by 82 new members
– Total Lodge membership is at its highest level in last 10 years with 523 members
– We had member and Guest Events every month of the year
– Pool memberships increased to 1,139, the highest in the last 8 years
– Swim Team had over 125 swimmers, highest in recent years
– Support of our local community:
-> Community Grants – $11,000
-> Golf Tournament – $15,000
-> Veteran Outreach continued through the pandemic
-> Two Red Cross Blood Drives

Thank you for allowing me to serve as your ER this past year and special thanks to the officers, committees and other volunteers who work hard all year to make our Lodge a great place for our members and guests to enjoy.

Fraternally Yours,
Phil Driscoll

Members of High Point Lodge #1155, allow me to introduce myself. I am Richard Golden and will be your Exalted Ruler for the year 2022-2023. I have been an Elk for 10 years and two years ago moved from Staten Island, NY to Asheboro, NC. As and Elk, I have chaired many committees and participated in many Elk events.
