ER Letter for May 2010

April has been a very busy month, preparing budgets, installing our new officers, and meeting with committees, are just a few of the things going on at 700 Old Mill Road.

The month started off with a Community activity that motivated quite a large group of our members and guests, This Group assisted some of our neighbors with clean up and rebuilding efforts after the March 28th tornado.  My thanks go out to all that participated in this typical “ELKS CARE/ELKS SHARE” Community service.

As the summer season approaches, our Pool Committee will be working every week-end to get the pool in shape for opening day, please consult the Elks website for a complete list of tasks that must be completed before the pool opens.  Your volunteerism is appreciated, Tom Day & Rusty Evans are the new Pool Committee Chairmen and they are doing a fantastic job preparing for the upcoming season.

The Member Meeting Night Dinners are a nice way for our members to gather and meet one another. I encourage all members to come out on a meeting night and have dinner with your Lodge Officers and friends.

The month of May is always our busiest month for new member initiations, Please have any proposed member applications in early, so that our membership team can set up the interview, investigation, and indoctrination process.

Stay Positive:
